Exceptional solid pine set of six chairs and matching table for 4/6 person, designed by Carl Malmsten and manufactured by Svensk Fur, Sweden in the 1950’s. It combines comfort, functionality and aesthetic values. The choice for solid pine with a wonderful warm grain underlines the beautiful shape of the seat and the backrest. The constructive details of the connection between the legs and the seat are typical of Carl Malmsten design. The matching table in solid pine with its extension can host 4 or 6 person. Its rounded square shape is typical for Malmsten design. The elegant legs can be removed for transportation.

This set is a beautiful testimony of well-crafted Swedish Modern design of the 1950’s.

The elements of the set are marked “svensk fur” underneath.

Dimensions: chairs: H 83 cm W 45 cm D 53 cm Seat H 43 cm - table H 71,5 cm W 99 cm D 99 cm - with extension 144 X 99 cm

Condition: Very nice age related condition, beautiful patina, presence of scratches, bumps and marks (see pictures for a good appreciation).
