Manufactured by EDSBY VERKEN in Sweden, the seat of this stool is in beech plywood and solid beech wood for the feet. This makes the stool very light and elegant.
One of the characteristics of Ilmari Tapiovaara is the turning legs (cigar-shaped legs) made by carving out a piece of wood to make the stool look lighter, and the seat has a slightly rounded recess for sitting down.
It's an old one, from the 1960’s that has a very nice patina. The stool is in very good condition (mark one little scratch on the edge of the seat, visible on the last picture).
