Rare stoneware vase by Henning Nilsson for Höganäs Sweden 1950’s. The vase has an unusual surface with relief. Signed and dated 1/12/1957.
Henning Nilsson , born in 1907 in Välinge, was first a musician, a music teacher and and antique art dealer. After meeting the sculptor Robert Nilsson and the ceramist Signe Persson he discovered the world of stoneware and built his first kiln. In 1954 he moved to Höganäs, near the famous ceramic manufactory, where he started to fire his works.
